Perhaps we are looking at this from a wrong perspective; this search for the truth, the meaning of life, the reason of God. We all have this mindset that the answers are so complex and so vast that it is almost impossible to comprehend. I think that the answers are so simple; so simple that it is staring us straight in the face, screaming its lungs out, and yet we fail to notice it.

Our 4 Day visit to The Evergreen State Nov 4-7 2010
Pike Place Market with its dozens of vendors and rows upon rows of fresh flowers. This reminded me of "El Mercado" in Mexico. I enjoyed it very much.
During our 4 day stay, we did so much. We got to see more than expected. Had a wonderful time. Now all I do is think about the next time I get to do it again.
Pike Place Fish Company where the staff happily barks out orders as fresh fish literally fly through the air to be wrapped for the customer who ordered them. Not sure exactly what happened to the meat that we saw land on the floor. hmmmmmm?
Deception Pass State Park Bridge Probably one of Marcos' highlights of the trip is the view from the bridge down into the swirling waters. We parked on one end of the bridge. The view was spectacular but that we were allowed to get this close and allowed to walk on the bridge was very surprising. The troop ventured out to take a look down at the water, my little heart couldn't take it. Two words that best describes this place
Breathtaking &
Fort Ebey State Park W.W.II Cannon still remains. While walking through the cold concrete walls, I couldn't stop to wonder about all the men, young and old, seasoned or inexperienced. And how they bravely stood by this fort to defend their country. Even though they never fired their guns it must have been a stressful time for them. A completely different experience many moons later, for us. We had the place to ourselves. It was shamelessly exciting.
I was glad to see Marcos relax and enjoy this serene moment. That is until I cought up to him...hehehe. Seriously I don't doubt that if we could we would SO move near this place. So tranquil, enjoyed the walk immensly. Fresh cold air was a bonus.
We hung out at the International Fountain. To me it's the fountain near the Space Needle. YES! There were kids playing in the water and then there were the OLDER kids that couldn't help themselves but run and tag the half ball, their goal was not to get soaking wet. I include my husband among the OLDER kids. It was a pretty steep climb down. I wish I had video of Josh and Matt sliding down with regular sneakers on. On my check list for next time.
I was in awe of this sight. ALWAYS a wish of mine to visit the Space Needle. I'm afraid of heights no question but how could I turn down a chance like this? It was not as scary as I imagined it would be.
Things to do before I die: Dinner at the Space Needle. On my checklist for next time.
We had lunch at this restaurant, one of Josh & Mel's favorite places to eat. I was not expecting it to be as great as it was and oh btw, xtra bonus, Marcos' cousin works there. WHO KNEW?
Space Needle a spectacular 360 degree view of the city and its surroundings.
For nature lovers, this is the place! Japanese Garden
Nice place to visit for ONLY $5 bucks. A great scene with the koi fish. Two blocks long......too too short. Must visit again and again and again.
Only 2 blocks long..... I can't believe my eyes got to see all of this........How can there NOT be a God that cares for us? Looking forward to paradise.
Actually this is the very first picture we took on our trip. So it really starts from the end. We enjoyed Washington VERY much. We can't wait to visit again. Matt's family treated us like family and showed us around all over the place. It was a real treat for us because we don't do vacations at all, much less travel, so this was a trip of a lifetime. Did I mention that we had an amazing time these 4 days? We got to see beautiful sights through out our stay. After spending time meeting Matt’s parents the plan was to drive around and stay close to our hotel. Venture off on our own while my daughter visited with her boyfriend and his family. But it worked out better than planned. Isn't it always that way? Good job Matt! xoxoxoxo Good job Adri xoxoxoxo
